Resident Advisory Board
The Resident Advisory Board (RAB) consists of a group of residents, each from an NRMHA property.
The main role of the (RAB) is to make recommendations in the development of the PHA Plan. In order to facilitate collaboration, Public Housing Authority’s (PHA’s) should encourage the RAB’s participation from the inception of the planning process. PHA’s are also required to request input from the RAB for any significant amendment or modification to the PHA Plan.
The RAB is appointed well in advance of the date that the PHA Plan is due to HUD to ensure effective resident participation in the development of the plan.
The RAB works with NRMHA on the behalf all residents in the NRMA’s public housing programs.
